JAcob Kim Step 4

Growing up in Korea, I can be proud to say that I literally grew up with technology. I have seen cell phones evolve, computers get smaller and faster, and public technology advance. However, out of all the technology that I grew up with, I would have to say that the internet has had the most impact on me. I was introduced to the internet around the age of 6, so about 12 years ago. I remember going to YAHOO.com and being amazed. Also, as the internet advance, computer games started to come one and I got hooked like no other.

This is where I got my impact. Because the internet is so easy to get sidetracked, I could not get focused whenever I was on the internet. However, as I matured, I started to realize that computer entertainment is not going to get me anywhere in life. From that point on, I tried to stay focus on my work, but it did not happened over night. It probably took my about a year until I could fully focus on my work and then play me games or do whatever. Anyhow, the internet taught me a simple, but rather important lesson staying focused. This had the mot impact on me because starting from high school, I realized that staying focused during class is really important because the material is hard to grasp. However, because I had learned to stay focused, I believe my high school year has been easier than it would have if I did not learn how to stay focused.
